Certification basis: Management of GHGMS certification activities implemented in GB/T 46566-2025 Greenhouse Gas Management System Requirements.

Background: Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing the world, with impacts on human health and ecosystems, and could lead to dramatic changes in how resources are used, produced and other economic activities. To this end, measures and actions are being developed at the international, regional, national and local levels, to reduce the impact of greenhouse gases on the global climate. In response to the relevant international treaties, China has put forward a national strategy and development plan to meet these challenges.

Purpose: An organization effectively implements a greenhouse gas management system in accordance with the requirements of this document, and can achieve the expected results of greenhouse gas management, thereby contributing to the realization of Chinas greenhouse gas master plan goals.Organizations can take advantage of the opportunity of Chinas greenhouse gas strategic planning, greenhouse gas management into the organizations business process, strategic direction and decision-making process, and with the organizations development process priorities, into the organizations overall management system, so that top management can effectively identify and respond to its risks and opportunities.
