On June 10, 2010, the National Certification and Accreditation Administration issued a notice requiring the quality management system certification of construction enterprises to meet the requirements of GB/T19001 "Quality Management System Requirements" and GB/T50430 "Quality Management Code for Engineering Construction Enterprises.

The full name of GB/T50430 standard is "Code for Quality Management of Engineering Construction Enterprises", which is the purpose of the Ministry of Housing and Construction in China to strengthen the quality management of engineering construction enterprises, standardize the standards drafted by construction enterprises from a series of processes such as project bidding, signing of construction contracts, construction site survey, construction drawing design, preparation of construction-related operation instructions, entry of man-machine materials, construction process management and construction process inspection, internal completion acceptance, completion delivery acceptance, departure of archives transfer personnel, warranty service, etc.
The aim is to promote the full implementation of GB/T50430, further strengthen and implement the responsibility, improve the level of enterprise self-discipline and quality management, and promote the scientific, standardized and legalized quality management of construction enterprises.

Scope of application

Engineering construction enterprises refer to construction general contracting and professional contracting enterprises that have obtained the construction professional qualification of the national construction administrative department (Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Construction Department of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and are engaged in the new construction, expansion and reconstruction of civil engineering, construction engineering, line pipeline and equipment installation engineering and decoration engineering.
