From January 15 to 16, the China Iron and Steel Association organized the second LCA expert group meeting of the iron and steel industry in Shanghai, with the theme of "strengthening the construction of LCA system in the iron and steel industry chain and promoting the application of low-carbon emission steel". During the meeting, leaders of Ouye Yunshang, China Baowu, World Steel Association and China Steel Association, as well as experts and representatives from all over the country attended the meeting. Our company was invited to attend the meeting and selected Ma Jinxuan and Liu Lingjun to attend the meeting. The meeting covered responsible steel (ResponsibleSteel) speech, low-carbon emission steel centralized release ceremony and signing ceremony, LCA method overview and application of steel industry, annual work report of LCA working group of steel industry, sharing of World Steel Association, CBAM policy interpretation, construction and application of carbon footprint factor database of steel industry, sharing of LCA database of Heco, latest progress of relevant methodology, etc. The on-site exchange atmosphere was warm and fruitful.
During the meeting, Ma Jinxuan delivered a keynote speech on behalf of our company on the "steel" demand for green transformation of the shipbuilding industry-low-carbon steel and credible carbon footprint. He gave a speech on the driving force and pressure, core and demand, challenges and paths faced by the green transformation of the shipbuilding industry. Experts and representatives at the meeting asked questions and exchanged views, which aroused strong repercussions. In addition, the two also participated in the LCA work of the conference, the discussion on low-carbon emission steel standards, and the annual training for independent verifiers of the EPD platform of the whole steel industry chain on behalf of our company. They actively made suggestions and suggestions and gained a lot.
