On December 5, the review meeting of "Chengdu carbon benefit Tianfu demonstration project carbon emission reduction methodology development project" was held in the fourth office area of Chengdu municipal authorities. the competent departments ecological environment bureau and the owners unit city big data co., ltd. organized experts to review the project results and unanimously agreed to pass.
Since the Chengdu Municipal Government held a low-carbon city construction conference in July 2019, under the leadership of the Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, various departments have vigorously promoted the construction of the "Carbon Benefit Tianfu" demonstration project and actively created the "Carbon Benefit Tianfu" characteristic brand. Through inclusive mechanism innovation, explore the unique urban low-carbon transformation path with Chengdu characteristics, and form a Chengdu green and low-carbon life circle of "everyones attention, everyones participation, and everyones sharing. Methodology is of great significance as the core technical document of the "Carbon Benefit Tianfu" project. In August, after receiving the preparation task, Sichuan Branch immediately set up a methodology preparation working group with business backbone as the core and well-known experts in various fields in China and the province to participate in and guide. The general manager of the branch guided the whole process of plan planning and work implementation. After three months of extensive literature, field research and expert consultation, we have fully mastered the emission reduction mechanism, calculation method, parameter setting and construction progress in six areas: afforestation management and protection, Tianfu greenway, lake wetland, western Sichuan forest plate, soil testing and formula fertilization, and energy-saving transformation. On this basis, we have compiled and completed six carbon inclusive project methodologies, and carried out field project verification to ensure the compliance of the methodologies.
At the review meeting, the Sichuan branch reported on the results of the project. After questioning and answering questions, the review experts agreed that the project preparation had clear ideas, scientific methods, and was in line with the local actual situation in Chengdu, advanced, applicable, and operable. The development mechanism of the carbon inclusive project and the creation of a characteristic brand of "Carbon Huitianfu" provide technical support. At present, only Guangdong, Fujian and other provinces and cities have explored this field in China. Our company has taken the lead in carrying out this research and achieved fruitful results, which has improved our research and innovation ability in the field of climate change, and further helped Chengdu to build a national low-carbon city and practice ecological priority and green development.
