On November 20, Huang Shiyuan, general manager of China Classification Society Quality Certification Co., Ltd. (CCSC), attended the 20th anniversary celebration of the Energy Foundation and issued a carbon footprint evaluation certificate to the Energy Foundation on behalf of CCSC.
Entrusted by the Energy Foundation this time, CCSC evaluated the carbon neutrality action of its "20th Anniversary Celebration in China", and confirmed that its carbon neutrality implementation plan and carbon footprint quantification comply with the "Large-scale Event Carbon Neutrality Implementation Guidelines (Trial)" Regulations and requirements, and then issued a carbon footprint evaluation certificate. The follow-up CCSC will also verify the actual emissions generated by the event, witness the carbon neutral offset process, and issue a carbon neutral certificate based on the results of the verification and witness.
Xie Zhenhua, former deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission and dean of the Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development of Tsinghua University, Zhao Yingmin, deputy minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Kevin Rudd, former prime minister of Australia and dean of the Asia Society Policy Research Institute, deputy secretary of the National Development and Reform Commission Su Wei and other dignitaries attended the event and witnessed the certification ceremony. The Energy Foundation is a professional non-profit charity organization. Over the past 20 years, it has continued to fund Chinese projects involving electricity, industry, transportation, cities, environmental management, low-carbon transformation, and strategy communication. The cumulative grant amount exceeds 0.3 billion US dollars, and more than 750 funded units.
