Entrusted by Nanchang Transportation Bureau, China Classification Society Quality Certification Co., Ltd. (CCSC) organized and completed the safety assessment before the initial operation of Nanchang Rail Transit Line 1 and Line 2 extension project from June 10 to 13, 2025, providing professional technical support for the smooth opening of the project. After strict review, the expert group unanimously determined that the two extension line projects meet the requirements of the Ministry of Transports "Code for Safety Assessment before the Initial Operation of Urban Rail Transit" (2023 No. 56) and have the initial operating conditions.
In order to ensure the scientific and rigorous evaluation work, CCSC has established a 13-person project core team (including technical backbone forces such as Jiangxi Branch, Henan Branch and Shanxi Branch) with the general manager of the institutional business department of the headquarters company as the project team leader and the person in charge of Jiangxi Branch as the deputy team leader, and specially invited 19 industry authoritative experts from 9 cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, jointly set up 5 professional groups, including the overall group, civil engineering group, equipment group and operation preparation group. During the evaluation period, the expert group conducted comprehensive inspections on key links such as vehicles, tracks, stations, power supply, signals, fire protection, and emergency management of the line through on-site surveys, functional tests, data verification, and system inquiries to ensure that each The indicators meet the safety operation standards.
The evaluation work has been highly valued by Nanchang municipal government and relevant departments. The Deputy Secretary-General of Nanchang Municipal Government and the Director of the Municipal Transportation Bureau attended the evaluation meeting and fully affirmed the professional ability and rigorous attitude of CCSC. More than ten units including the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Emergency Management Bureau, Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau, and Rail Transit Group participated in the first and last meetings to witness the evaluation process.
At the final meeting of the evaluation, Zhang Yu, general manager of CCSCs business operation and management, said that as an authoritative certification body directly under the Ministry of Transport, the company has always adhered to the purpose of "transmitting trust and service development". Around the national strategies such as "transportation power, quality power," double carbon "strategy and digital China", we will build a national technical service system in the transportation field covering the whole country. In the future, CCSC will continue to give full play to the advantages of think tanks to provide technical support for the safe operation and sustainable development of Nanchang rail transit, and help build a "high standard and high reliability" livelihood project.
The successful completion of this safety assessment indicates that the extension lines of Nanchang Metro Line 1 and Line 2 have the conditions for opening, which will provide citizens with a more convenient and safe travel experience and further optimize the layout of the urban transportation network.
