On May 31, Huang Shiyuan, General Manager of China Classification Society Quality Certification Co., Ltd. (CCSC), met with Mr. Wesley Douglas, CEO of African Carbon Exchange, and Shi Weiwei, Director of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Business Operations of CCSC, and Guo Kai, Deputy Director, attended the talks.
General Manager Huang Shiyuan extended a warm welcome to Mr. Douglas. He said that the cooperation with the African Carbon Exchange is an important part of CCSCs response to the national "One Belt One Road" initiative and the implementation of the "Going Global" strategy. Based on the agreement, together with the African Carbon Exchange, we will carry out in-depth cooperation in capacity building, policy research, and project validation and verification in the field of climate change, the South African government promulgated the carbon tax bill as an opportunity to promote cooperation between China and South Africa in the field of climate change.
Mr. Glass expressed his appreciation for the development of CCSCs energy conservation and emission reduction business in recent years, and said that he would continue to promote the strategic cooperation between the two sides and actively recommend the development experience of Chinas carbon market to the South African government.
After the meeting, Mr. Douglas presented his personal book "My China Africa Dream" to General Manager Huang Shiyuan.
